We love learning about science at La Jolla Elementary School! In 2006, we formed a partnership with Rendezvous Science Center in La Jolla. We offer an after school science enrichment program to all students in grades K-5. The fees for this program are paid directly to the school.
The After School Science Enrichment Program will be offered once/week on Tuesdays for the 2009-10 school year. Our La Jolla Elementary teachers at each grade level will work with students on carefully chosen science topics and activities that will expand and enrich the regular curriculum taught in our science program. It will be taught as our science program is taught with hands on exploration and an inquiry-based approach.

Fouth Cycle 2009/2010 School Year
Grade Topics:
K - Lady Bugs
1 - Tree Homes
2 - Buzzing A Hive
3 - Mystery Festival
4/5 - Plate Tectonics
(4th and 5th are combined for this topic)
Cycle Dates:
February – 09, 16, 23
March - 02, 09
Note: Topics may be modified as needed.
Fees: $75.00 – Each Cycle (Five Sessions) -- This fee is per child enrolled.
A snack and recess is provided from 3:35 – 4:00 p.m.
The program will run from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
