Each Wednesday, LJES students get out at 12:45PM - A perfect opportunity to enroll your child in an after school activity! LJES offers a variety of classes starting at 1:05PM.
Session Dates for the 2012/2013 school year:
SESSION 1: Sept 5, 12, 19, 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24.
SESSION 2: Oct 31, Nov 7, 28, Dec 5, 12, 19.
SESSION 3: Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb 6, 13, 20, 27.
SESSION 4: March 6, 13, 20, April 10, 17, 24. (*no class 3/27 & 4/03)
SESSION 5: May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, June 5.
PLEASE NOTE: We offer supervision for your children between 12:45 and 1:05PM on Wednesdays, at no additional cost, for those parents who cannot escort their child to their after school class! You MUST enroll in this program if you will not be supervising your child during this time. Please download the Child Supervision Enrollment Form to register. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE GIVEN TO THE OFFICE EACH SESSION SO WE KNOW WHAT CLASS YOUR CHILD IS ENROLLED IN! If you have already handed in the form earlier this school year, you may click here and fill out the information requested and email to the office as opposed to filling out the entire form.

CHESS
International Master Larry Evans and staff teach chess in 35 schools throughout San Diego County. The program, once featured on The Tonight Show, has produced national champions at every scholastic level. Children come from all over to study at their summer camps in Lake Arrowhead & Balboa Park and winter camps in Hong Kong & Shanghai.
The program, dubbed “The Evans Method” by the United States Chess Federation, includes instruction, formal and casual play and team events on a giant Harry Potter chess set. KIDS KREATIONS
KIDS KREATIONS presents WHOLE LOTS OF FUN! Each week your child will awaken their creativity with a unique hands-on quality project. With Ms. Joanne's proven step-by-step techniques, these classes are perfect for any age. ALL materials will be provided to make and take home these projects: Claytime Cupcakes, Color Swirl Ballcaps, 3-D Wall Art Paintings, Loofah Sponge Soaps (Mother's Day gift) and Clown Cakes! The PIANO KEYBOARD CLUB by Musical Minds
Kids will have the opportunity to learn to play their favorite songs and music on electric keyboards. Radio hits, movie and television themes are made so easy, that our participants will be playing them after the very first class! The club is a combination of keyboard piano lessons and a music learning workshop, which uses a clever visual method to teach the basics of music reading and piano playing. We have developed lots of learning games and activities designed to instruct students in the fundamentals of music theory, in ways that are fun, engaging, and stimulating. We want our students to stay motivated and continue to want to learn to play music, whether they like Michael Jackson or Taylor Swift, Adele, the Black Eyed Peas or Beethoven. We have all the music they want. We have music from Wizards of Waverly Place, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Spongebob, Phineas & Ferb and many more. Each participant has his/her own keyboard supplied during the class, along with headphones, and books and other materials are included.

LJES Gleeks! is a glee club for 3rd-5th graders who have a passion for singing. We provide top quality music education in a fun and nurturing social environment that helps aspiring singers find their own voice.
Gleeks San Diego utilizes songs that are contemporary and familiar to our singers, which generates great excitement each time a new song is introduced. The use of this modern music approach makes creative expression through sung music easily accessible to singers of all levels of skill and development and gives each child the opportunity to truly define his or her self through music.
