1. What is the Gala? The Gala is the largest fundraiser of the year for LJES. It is a dinner, dance and auction. All money raised goes towards extra teachers to keep class sizes low. The Gala also helps to fund art, music, technology and much more for the school

2. When is the Gala? March 16th, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

3. Where is the Gala? Cuvier Club
7776 Eads Ave, La Jolla, CA. 
 
4. How much are tickets?  Tickets are $100 each.  Attendance is limited, so please don't delay -- buy your tickets now!

5. What is the cost of parking? No cost, there is self-parking on the surrounding streets.

6. How is the seating arranged at the Gala? This year our party is not a sit-down dinner, it will be a cocktail party with delicious food stations.
 
7. What is the "Teacher Opportunity Drawing?" Each year, each teacher proposes a fun outing to be raffled off at the gala.  Raffle tickets cost $1 each.  The list of teacher experiences is available here.  

8. What is "Underwriting?" By donating money towards the cost of the Gala you will get prominent signage for your company logo or family name. People who donate $1000 or more will be invited to an exclusive cocktail party in La Jolla held before the gala. Click

9. What is the "Auction?" There will be a live auction at the event. Items included: Class art projects, Principal for the day and more….!  Please contact Angie Goodwin for more information on how to donate your items.

 
10. What is the "Party Book"?   Various LJES Families have offered to host a series of parties to benefit the school, and all members of the school community have the opportunity to buy tickets and attend.  
Hosts incur all party costs so 100% of the party ticket sales go directly to LJES.  CLICK HERE to purchase admission to one of these wonderful events.

11. What is the dress code?
 Pull out your finest disco garb -- platform shoes and leisure suits are welcome!

12. What will be served at the Gala? There will be 70's-themed food stations, and hosted full bar.
  
13. What is the schedule for the evening?
5:00pm - Party begins!

14. Any good pre-parties?
March Dadness is a dads-only pre-gala event that will be limited to 50 guys.  Proceeds will go to buy liquor to auction off at the Gala. Advance-purchase tickets are now sold out, but you can still gain admission at the door is $50.  The party will take place March 9, 2013, at 6 pm at the home of Dan and Trish Ryan, 5435 Soledad Road.  Please RSVP by March 1st to Hector.Jimenez1@gmail.com
